Working primarily in watercolor, acrylic, ink and mixed media Kathryn Harmon is a colorist who creates expressive images inspired by nature, environmental conservation, emotion, equality and balance, travel, and humanity. Her work conveys semi-figurative, semi-abstract forms on top of layers of color and mixed media. Kathryn earned a BA in Art History from Georgia College & State University in 2007.
“When I paint something I am always considering the future. Much like a cave painting, my work is auto biographical, personal, but abstract enough that I want the viewer to create a story for themselves. If the work will not connect with humans years from now, I am not interested.” -Kathryn
